Introduction to Adobe Aftereffects
- Setting up new COMPOSITION for compilation of layers in a timeline.
- Preset of PAL- Standard 25 frame per second to achieve optimum video quality and prevent stretching.
Production of Short Animation 1(Exercise 1)
- Import of PSD file with retained layer size as working layers
- TRANSFORM option tools to edit unpacked psd. layers with setting of % to increase precision
- EFFECTS option tools to apply effects similar to Photoshop
- Assign KEYFRAMES in timeline by using time slider to produce recorded motion of applied transformation.
- Copy and paste for repetition of KEYFRAMES to achieve looping effect.
- GRAPH EDITOR to adjust graph with handles- to achieve smooth transitional movement.
- RENDER QUEUE to render sequential images for exporting
- EXPORT - to select file location and setting up of animation file to format of H.264 for .mov file to reduce file size and optimum quality.

Production of Short Animation 2 (Exercise 2)
- Preparation of PSD layers with cloned objects for blurring of boundary
- Import of PSD file with retained layer size as working layers
Positioning of CAMERA with preset of 35mm- Setting up TOP VIEW ( 1 View to 2 Views) to adjust position of camera and psd layers through planar views
- Application of TRANSFORM tool to position of camera and psd layers by adjusting X,Y,Z coordinates
- SCALE tool to ensure fitting of psd layers in screen
- ROTATE tool to add tilt to animation
- MOVE focal point at keyframes to create increase depth of field
- PRE-COMPOSE packing of composition layers
- PUPPET tool to add pins and apply deformation to layers to create animation
